#10 STEPS JEWELRY PRODUCTION

We at Ana Dyla are a specialized manufacturer of sustainable jewelry. We are determined to serve the highest quality and service to our valuable clients. Our jewelry manufacturing process consists of 10 concrete steps to ensure quality-driven products. Our team of design consultants helps you figure out the details, weigh all the options, and guides you through each step of creating a piece of custom jewelry.

Step # 1:

The first step to curate a timeless masterpiece is to produce a design. In this phase the jewelry designer generates an idea for the design. The combined talent and experience transforms the whole idea into the creation of an exotic masterpiece.

Step # 2:

The second step utilizes CAD software in order to enhance the dimensional accuracy of the design. This is done after the idea is drawn onto paper and then into the system through Computer Aided Design Technology.

Step # 3:

After the design file is made onto CAD, a resin model of the design is made using 3D Rapid prototyping system which functions on the principle of Direct Light Projection Technology. This acts as a prototype for the generated design.

Step # 4:

The next step is to generate a silver model. The resin output is made into a silver model through casting process and this silver model acts as a master design which can be replicated further to produce multiple pieces of the same design. Through the process of “Vulcanizing” a rubber mould of the design is made from the silver mould.

Step # 5:

The rubber mould is then placed on a commercial wax injector and molten wax is injected into the rubber mould to produce wax pieces for further casting.

Step # 6:

The wax model is placed in a steel flask and topped with a chemical slurry which is then solidified. With the flask being heated, a wax pattern is made into the mould which is filled in by the molten metal. The output of this process is grinded by the grinding machine in order to smoothen the surface of the metal. This is followed by a final polishing done by a spinning grinding wheel to reduce the roughness of the metal.

Step # 7:

The next step is filing in which excess metal or solder is removed from the piece using files and burrs to give it a smooth finish. If multiple items have to be joint together for a single piece, they are assembled with the help of a solder or laser technique.

Step # 8:

Next critical step is the stone setting which involves securely placing the gemstone into the metal piece. Various types of setting such as prong, plate prong, pave, pressure, bead and channel are used to create different designs. Once the gems are set into place, final polishing is done either by hand or by machine to bring in luster and shine to the masterpiece.

Step # 9:

Jewelry pieces are plated with metals such as Rhodium which is a precious white colored metal, in order to give a more reflective appearance to the piece, providing better resistance to scratches and also to protect it from tarnishing. Another use of Rhodium plating is to convert yellow gold into white gold for creating more enchanting patterns and designs.

Step # 10:

The final step of our manufacturing process is Quality Control. At Ana Dyle, we are committed to quality and sustainability. We have a thorough set of procedures to ensure that each manufactured piece adheres to our quality standards and meets the criteria of our set quality and our client’s requirements. For this purpose, each piece is measured, virtually and mechanically inspected meticulously.
